Abu Dhabi grants emergency service status to Burjeel Medical City – News
The hospital can now provide intensive care to patients with acute, life-threatening illnesses.
Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi has received the emergency service license issued by the Ministry of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).
This certification will enable the facility to provide intensive care to patients with acute, life-threatening conditions.
The emergency department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, resuscitation beds for life-threatening cases, telemetry beds for people requiring full medical care.
In addition, it provides expedited care for minor emergencies through the priority zone. The hospital has an area reserved for pediatric and critical care. Slightly injured patients will be cared for in the priority area, while the needs of children will be exclusively cared for in pediatric emergencies.
The specialized center offers comprehensive pediatric emergency care 24 hours a day. In addition, it provides subspecialty services, including quaternary medical care outside the emergency department throughout the day, a bank of satellite blood, 24-hour imaging and ambulance services.
Dr Zuhair Al Sharafi, Director and Chief of Emergency Department of Burjeel Medical City, said: “At Burjeel Medical City, we are capable and equipped with all the resources to meet the health care needs of any emergency. – adult or pediatric – come to us. “
The expedited installation ensures minimal wait time for patients who present to the emergency room with minor injuries. “We have developed an excellent system in the department so that no patient coming to us is waiting unnecessary hours,” he added.
