Alzheimer’s Association, Coachella Valley
The Alzheimer’s Association is a voluntary organization. He is always on the lookout for new people to integrate and train and has opportunities that match an individual’s area of interest or expertise including: community education, office administration, marketing and communications, the walking and gala committees and the advisory board. Coachella Valley Cat Club
Dedicated to helping cats in need, we socialize rescued kittens and re-socialize abandoned and stray kittens. We sterilize and sterilize, vaccinate, provide medical care for sick and injured cats and provide quality care until loving homes are found. We also provide food for the wild cats on a daily basis. Since the inception of DAP Health, volunteers have been the cornerstone of many of our programs; services; events; and most importantly, our Revivals stores, located in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Desert and Indio. Volunteer driver wanted. Must have a valid California license with no violation or suspension of your license in the past three years. Must be able to assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle, including pushing wheelchairs, providing support when transferring the client from the wheelchair or walker to the vehicle, and lifting up to 25 pounds without help. FIND Food Bank
Hunger remains at record levels in the desert due to the effects of COVID-19. FIND, the regional desert food bank, needs volunteers to help feed every food insecure family and person. We welcome volunteers aged 18 and over to sort and pack food in our warehouse or distribute food during our drive-through distributions.
