Drive through the fish fry

Holiday Bible school in Salineville
The Salineville Vacation Bible School, run by the Everyone’s Welcome Church, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 14 to 17 at Kiwanis Park.
Rocky Railway Holiday Bible School
The Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School will be held July 12-16 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Highland United Methodist Church. Dinner is also available at 5:15 p.m. each evening before VBS for children, family and staff. All children from grades 1 to 5 are welcome. Kindergarten and preschool children can stay if accompanied by an adult. There is no charge but pre-registration is encouraged. All health and safety instructions will be observed. Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will be hosting a free, appointment-only Covid-19 vaccination clinic from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 16 at the Columbiana Family Care Center at Firestone Farms TownCenter, 116 Carriage Drive. Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine will be provided. Those 18 years of age and older should call the SRMC Vaccine Registration Line at 330-332-7511 to make an appointment. Second Annual Donation Community Action Day
The Columbiana County Community Action Agency (CAACC) will be holding its second annual Community Giving Day of Action on June 19 for county residents at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds. Distribution will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until 500 homes have been served. Everyday items such as paper products, kitchen supplies, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet food, laundry detergent and first aid kits will be on hand. hand. Participants will also receive a community bag full of resource materials and items from several organizations in the region will also be provided.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will guide the cars through the fairgrounds. Participants must enter through the main entrance, 225 Lee Ave .. Only two households per vehicle. After 500 households, the doors will be closed.
Last year, Community Giving Day of Action was able to help approximately 300 households (906 household members) on November 14. Although the agency holds several distributions throughout the year and has a year-round pantry, this large-scale event was created due to the growing needs of the community due to the pandemic of coronavirus.
