Violent night in Philadelphia kills 1, criticizes 1 in separate shootings: police
The shooting took place just before 8 p.m. in the 1400 block of Windrim Avenue.
Police said a 27-year-old man was shot in the head.
He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died shortly after from his injuries.
Thirty minutes later, police in the 18th arrondissement are investigating a triple shooting that left a man in critical condition.
The shooting took place at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday in the 800 block of South Cecil Street in the Cobbs Creek section of town.
Police say a man in his 30s or 40s was shot in the back. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition.
A 52-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were also shot in the back, officials said.
The two victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, listed in stable condition.
No weapons were found at the scene, officials said.
So far, no arrests have been made yet.
